What is a sidekick? Your sidekick is simply a buddy at work outside your traditional team. This is meant to be a fun way to connect with someone outside of your usual path. Below is a calendar for sidekick dress up days through the month of February. Jeans are acceptable for anyone participating in the dress up days.
THIS IS JUST FOR FUN! Take a pic of you and your sidekick during the week. Text the pic to Hawkins by Wednesday at 4:00. Both names will go into a drawing for your favorite Sonic drinks.
Admin will be in and out of classrooms this nine weeks for small group walkthroughs. We will focus on the three action steps (best practices) you chose for your TTESS goal and put on your poster. We will leave the form for you to hang on your poster as evidence for your goal. Pay attention to your action steps and continue posting your evidence. We will look for strong samples of posted evidence to showcase in Gator News over the next nine weeks. ❤️💕❤️

Good morning! It is about time to begin to look at test prep. We are working on updating the Language Arts Test Prep Unit in both English and Spanish and putting the student passages into Edugence. This will provide students with additional practice with the online testing format. The adjustments have been made based on the last two years of STAAR testing and reflect highly tested TEKS. You will still have access to the previous units and resources to choose from based on your students' needs.
The unit and video instructions will be sent out and added to the BEVs on Feb. 10th. We will have virtual office hours on Feb. 12th from 3:30-4:15 to answer any questions you might have. Please register in Edugence for the Zoom link. (Link to register.) I know you are going to love the updates!
Also, a revision standard mastery is coming up in February. This assessment should help you choose which Grammar Extensions are needed for your whole class and which to do in small groups. You can access the 5–7-minute Grammar Extension Lessons on the Bird's Eye View along with slides that go with them. There are 30 lessons along with slides. You could start these lessons before test prep.
Let me know if you have any questions!
