Wonderful staff!
This week is a busy week, but yay for the upcoming THREE DAY WEEKEND!!! Please note that we have moved our book study to provide a bit of margin for you this week.
What Is Expected of Me This Week
Our Extended PLCs are this week for 5th, 3rd, and 1st. We will be checking in on WIN time and making sure each team has a SMART goal for math WIN time progress. Please make sure you have your agendas ready to go.
Please be diligent on Reading and Math District Assessments. The deadline for i-Ready is Friday, August 30. PNA, F& P, and Literacy Packets are all due on September 13th. If you need assistance, please reach out to Diana or Porcia asap. Here is the iReady guide if you need assistance.
Shoutout to Mrs. Jarosz & Ms. Rutledge for 100% complete on i-Ready assessments! Way to go!
This week is very busy so we have elected to move our book study kickoff to September 5th. No reading is required before the study, simply show up in the Savannah libray after duty on this day.
In order to make the VERY BEST plans we can to serve you this year, Guiding Coalition would like for you to fill out this SHORT survey regarding our culture goal “Opportunity to do my best EVERY DAY at work.” Please respond by Monday 8/26.
Our District Educational Improvement Team representative's term is up. Malicia Curran THANK YOU for your service on this team for the last two years. We now need nominations for a new represenative. Here is the form if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else.
Friday is a Half Day for your PLT to use as a planning day (and some people will have reading academy instead). Do not set appointments/take off for this time. We will start in the library together at 1:00 to plan. and then teams may transition to their TEAM Leads room. You will use the time to plan lessons/small groups for the 13 school days between September 3rd and the next half day on September 20th. We will meet back in the library at 3:00. Everyone will be free to leave by 3:30.
In case you missed the Expectations Assembly Video you can use this link to show your class.

We are continuing our Environmental Walk-Throughs this week. Here is the feedback form to guide you on our look-fors. Reach out to your team or mentors if there is anything on the form you don't understand. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things happening in classrooms!
Setting SMART Goals FOR 24-25:
Reminder: We will set two SMART goals for Math and two for ELAR. One goal will reflect our WIN Time goal for each subject's intervention cycle (this will be a foundational goal meant to catch kids up who are behind.) The second goal will be centered on ON LEVEL/END OF YEAR expectations. We will be tracking these goals as a PLT in our progress monitoring documents. We will be showing off our progress as a staff midway through each nine weeks at our Data Showcase Celebration. Our first data showcase will be September 12th.
The information in this corner will help us understand ourselves better so that we can make progress on our new culture goal: "at work, i have the opportunity to do what i do best every day. "
This week's focus for "doing what we do best EVERY DAY" focuses on your role on your team.
Gallup states the following items that great teams have in common:
Team members can name and understand the individual talents of everyone on the team.
Team members can see a clear connection between each other's strengths and behavior. They can see the link between strengths and success.
Everyone on the team has partnerships that encourage their strengths development.
Team members use their knowledge of each other's strengths to plan, strategize, analyze and direct their actions.
Which of your top 5 strengths are you using the most with your team? We will do a "quick share" with our colleagues during our next PLT.
Don't forget!
