Principal's Message
Here we are at the end of February. Time sure is flying by! This month was busy, we ended our inaugural basketball season, celebrated Kindness Week and National School Counselor week as well! We learned about important African Americans this month and will finish up the month celebrating one of my favorite things to do: Read! Read Across America Week kicks off next week and we will be celebrating reading in different ways. I will be visiting classrooms to read stories as well as some other guests!
If you haven't already proven residency with the office, please plan to do so soon. This is our only way to guarantee your child's spot next year. Failure to provide residency documents could result in you needing to reenroll and your child being overloaded to a different school.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Johanna White
Principal

Lost & Found - Overflowing!
Once again we have MANY jackets and sweaters that have been left behind. Please ask your child to take a look through the items or stop by when you have some time. We have had to bag up items due to the heavy wind . If you would like to go through the bags, please stop by the office. These items will be donated next week.
Scholastic Book Fair
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a book fair at our library from 2/24/23-3/3/23. This will be a wonderful opportunity for parents and students to add to their personal collections while also helping the school raise money to add more to our library’s collection. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/lilabringhurstelementaryschool

Enrollment for 23/24 School Year
Please watch for a “FALL 2023-2024 Reservation/Registration Form” to be mailed home
soon for each student currently enrolled in TK – 6 th grades. The form will not be handed out to
parents and serves 2 purposes: it reserves a spot for your child next year at Bringhurst and also
fulfills the District’s mandated annual residency verification via USPS. Please don’t mistake the
letter for junk mail and toss it out!
For students who will be moving on to junior high next year, Bringhurst will collect the form
and proofs and communicate with the Jr. High School to confirm a space will be reserved for next
year. By submitting the required form and Residency Proofs by February 24th, your child will
be reserved a space for next year.
*The forms must be returned to the school that your student currently is attending; if you have a
student overloaded to another elementary school, please return it there.
