Building a Better Bringhurst
The Bringhurst Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting our students and teachers, encouraging parent involvement, and raising funds to enrich the educational experience at Lila Bringhurst Elementary School in Fremont, California.
Here’s how the Bringhurst PTO contributes:
Providing Funds: We support all teachers across grades and departments (PE, Science, Music, Library) with funds for field trip transportation, school equipment and supplies, and classroom needs.
Supporting Clubs: We help clubs operate smoothly through insurance, space facilitation, and sponsorships.
PTO now providing need-based sponsorships to the following:
School Club Fees / Competition Entry Fees (eg. Math Kangaroo)
Bringhurst T-Shirts
PTO has allotted ($300) for each category. Sponsorship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the $300 fund is exhausted. For the T-shirt sponsorship, a student may be awarded a new shirt once every 3 years. If you have a student you believe qualifies for need-based sponsorships, please email PTO at vp.bringhurstpto@gmail.com. PTO will collaborate with LBES Administration staff to verify the student’s status as a need-based student, and proceed from there.
Organizing Events: From the Halloween Trunk or Treat to Teacher Appreciation Week, we plan and host exciting events.
School Beautification: We collaborate on projects to enhance the school's appearance and environment.
Every dollar we raise goes directly toward benefiting our students and teachers. While there are some operational costs and expenses for events, rest assured that this volunteer-run organization is dedicated to using the funds in the best interests of our school community.
