Raising funds helps us supplement and enrich the educational experience for all students at Lila Bringhurst Elementary School in Fremont, California. As a new school, we don’t have a historic fund to rely on, so we’re asking for donations to help build our resources and address any gaps or needs that the school may currently have.
We suggest a $20 donation per family (which is tax-deductible), but any amount is greatly appreciated and will support Bringhurst students and staff.
To donate online, you can use:
Zelle (preferred method): Scan the Zelle QR code (on the top right) or add "treasurer.bringhurstpto@gmail.com" as a contact.
PayPal: Use @BringhurstPTO or scan our PayPal QR code (on the right). Please note that PayPal charges a fee for donations, which is why we recommend using Zelle if possible.

Leveraging Company Grants & Volunteer Hour Matching
Many companies offer grants and match donations for volunteer hours. Here’s how you can help, while amplifying the impact of your contributions:
Company Grants: Check if your employer offers grants for educational support and let us know if you need any documentation.
Volunteer Hour Matching: Log your volunteer hours and submit them for matching funds through your company’s program. (Instructions on how to track volunteer hours with Benevity)

Ask Your Employer: Reach out to your HR department or corporate giving team to find out if your company offers matching grants or volunteer hour donations.
Volunteer opportunities: Refer to this document to identify opportunities where you can volunteer at.
Submit Your Requests: Follow your company’s procedures to apply for grants or submit your volunteer hours for matching.

Beginning of the Year Classroom Donations
As you make donation to your classroom (note: the money will go to your teacher via FUSD, not through PTO), please consider applying for donation matching from your employer. Please note: Bringhurst PTO cannot be the middleman for your company match. We will NOT re-route any money into individual teachers' classroom funds on the behalf of parents-there's too many of you and too few of us. You must secure your own way of trying to get company matching for any classroom donations that is to be made to FUSD-Bringhurst.
If you donate with cash or check, you can request donation receipt from your classroom teacher when you submit your donation, who will then submit the request to the office. Please DO NOT request classroom donation receipt from the office directly (it should go through your teacher).
You can do online donations through My School Bucks https://tinyurl.com/MySchoolBucksLBES. There is a small fee but the money will be transferred to the teacher account pretty quickly. Note that PTO officers have not used this and do not know how it works for company match. If anyone has used this site, please contact PTO at bringhurstpto@gmail.com so we can understand more and update this post accordingly.
You Want To Try for Company Matching?
While not encouraged due to administrative delay, an option is making classroom donation via your employer donation match site/portal so you can make your donation and apply for the match at the same time. If you choose to go this route, please do the following:
1. Select Lila Bringhurst Elementary, Registration ID: 061440014601.
2. In Designation/Comment/Note, put “Room #, Teacher’s Name, Student’s Name". Only if you clearly specify the Room # that the fund will be routed to your teacher.
3. Print out the Donation confirmation with the details and submit to your teacher so your teacher can track and make sure the classroom receives the fund.
Note that on your employer donation match portal, it is possible that Lila Bringhurst Elementary is not an option and only Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is available. In that case, please select FUSD and specify Lila Bringhurst along with “Room #, Teacher’s Name, Student’s Name" (can omit student name if not enough space). Again-do not name Bringhurst PTO--as we will not re-route money to your classroom teacher on your behalf.
