WHY I WROTE IT:
In Arkansas, we suffer from extreme heat in the summer and usually our winters are pretty mild. Occasionally we get snow, but nothing too big. However, this year we faced 8.5 inches of snow. I wrote this story because students spent the two days off of school differently, and it was fun to recap what all students did during the break.

WHY I WROTE IT:
This is the only presidential election that has happened during my years as a high school journalist. I wanted to cover the election because it was a major event for all of America in 2024, and I knew it was something that needed to be covered in the yearbook. When students look back years from now, they will want to remember the major political events that happened throughout their high school years so it is important I highlight these areas as a journalist.

WHY I WROTE IT:
Growing up in Kansas City, I have always been a Chiefs fan. With the team's recent accomplishments and wins, the Chiefs fandom has grown much larger. I wrote this story because it gives a clear understanding of what has/will happen during, and leading up to, Super Bowl week.
