Why Choose the Healthcare Academy?
The Healthcare Academy is available to Fond du Lac High School Juniors, who are serious about pursuing a career in the medical field. Students will get a jump-start on their post-secondary credits through our partnership with Moraine Park Technical College and will get hands on experience in the Healthcare field through our Innovations and Capstone courses. Students will work in a cohort setting, will be able to earn a total 24 college credits before graduating high school, and will gain invaluable hands on experiences. Students can also use these credits as a start to Moraine Park Technical college programs in Nursing, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technician and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 

The Application Process is an important piece of the Healthcare academy. Students should apply sophomore year. Approximately twenty students will be accepted into the academy each year.

Requirements:

Students will move through these classes together as a cohort.
This academy is limited to 20 students from Fond du Lac High School.
All  classes located on Fond du Lac  High School Campus unless noted elsewhere.

Important Note:
AP courses taught at FHS, a student must have an AP test score of a 3 or higher to receive credit for prior learning at MPTC.  Each college is different with how they accept AP scores. Learn more about AP scores and how credits transfer
