UWO - CAPP
What is it?
In CAPP courses students experience the challenge of college curriculum while in a high school environment, which:
sets them apart from other college applicants.
gives them the opportunity to register earlier.
allows them to explore a variety of options while in college.
provides them a chance to double major and graduate on time.
lessens their course load.
helps them graduate early.
Who is Eligible?
If you are a high school student and meet at least one of the following requirements, you may enroll in CAPP:
Class rank in the top 30 percent
GPA of 2.75 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
Math and Writing students must pass placement exam
If a student is exceptional in a certain area in which he or she desires to take a CAPP course, but this student does not meet the above criteria, he or she may be allowed to enroll. Students should contact their instructor for additional information.
Step #1 Apply using the UW application
The application process is free for all students, by completing the application it will later give you the option of taking a CAPP course. Completing the admission application is required prior to registering for your CAPP courses.
You must complete a new admission application for each academic year you take CAPP courses. You cannot be enrolled in CAPP courses for the current year unless you have submitted an application for the current year.
ALL STUDENTS must complete the application every year, even if they have taken CAPP courses in the past.
The admission application DOES NOT enroll you in classes. You must also register (see Step 2: Register on the right).
IF YOU DO STEP ONE LATE, You will need to fill out an additional form which can be found on the UW-O CAPP website.
FALL APPLICATION DUE JULY 31ST, SPRING APPLICATION DUE DEC 20th
MATH AND WRITING Students are required to pass a placement exam through UW.
Step #2 Register
The course registration is the final step in the process. This typically opens in August.
You must complete the course registration to complete the CAPP process and become enrolled in the program. Students will know that the process is complete as they will have access to their UW Net ID, UW O email account, Titan Web, etc.

Billing for CAPP will be reflected on your SKYWARD account after we receive rosters from UW-Oshkosh
Turn payment into in the FHS Business Office.
Tuition fee payable to the Fond Du Lac high school business office or pay through Skyward.
BILLING:
As a reminder, CAPP tuition is approximately $105/credit, or $52.50/credit if the student is on free or reduced lunch.Students DO NOT have access to 1098T tax forms (may have to be specifically requested based on their credit load).

REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT: These courses are the start of your official college record. For the credits to transfer to a different institution, students must submit a copy of their official UW-Oshkosh transcript. You will also use TitanWeb to request your official transcript if needed at the end of the course or go to https://uwosh.edu/capp/
CAPP SCHOLARSHIP: CAPP students who will be attending UW Oshkosh as incoming freshmen have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship specific to CAPP students. Several scholarships of $500 each are available, and applications must be submitted by (typically early March).

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
*Should you choose to drop the course for college credit, all regular drop and refund dates and fees for UW-Oshkosh apply. YOU MUST DROP FROM UW-O.
*All coursework taken by a CAPP student will become part of a student’s permanent record.
