Here is what we have coming up this week:
May 22- School picture will be take at 11:00. If you would like your child to be part of the school picture please plan to stay with him/her. A t-shirt will be provided and then returned after the picture.
May 24 Thursday - Will be our outdoor learning day 8:30 - 10:00
May 25 - Anniversary celebration: Guests will arrive at about 10:00 for a tour of our school. A celebration Mass and other anniversary events will happen at about 10:40. If you would like to attend with your child that would be wonderful. A school picnic will be held from 11:30 - 12:30
Four puzzles will be set out on Tuesday.
Making bugs by stringing pipe cleaners with buttons, beads and strainers.
Last week the children made kites using water colour paper, water and chalk. This week, the children will add the tails to the kites.
Last week the children were interested in the sun and planets. This week, I have a large "sun" hanging in the room. We will have a conversation tomorrow about the sun in two columns "What I know" and "What I wonder". The play dough this week is black with sparkles to enhance their imaginations and exploration. I will add a planet each day this week and next week.
Children will be invited to explore shells and rocks. The rock exploration will lead to painted rocks for the 25th anniversary celebration on Friday.
Magnet shapes, letters and numbers will be available on the white board.
Two creative centres are available for the children to cut, colour, stamp and explore.
New library books including various books on gardens, signs, families and a few other of general interest.
Light table exploration includes treasures.
