Add Form W-2 Page

There are 2 Options to add Form W-2 to your return. Let's start with the basic steps to first, enter your return:


You are now within your return.


Option 1

You can use the Search for a Form bar in the top left of the screen and search for and add "W-2" to your return. 

Option 2

(Tip: At any point, if you need to return to a previous page/form to review or make adjustments, you can select the page/form from this list of Forms In Return)

You will now be on the Form W-2 Main Page.


Tip: You can apply either Option 1 or Option 2 to search for and add any other needed forms to your return such as "1099", "Schedule", "Social Security", etc.


*Please note: The Form 1040 is constructed based on the tax information you input into the system from other Forms and Pages. You cannot Search for the Form 1040. You can view your Form 1040 anytime by clicking "View PDFs" from the top of your screen.

Add New Form W-2 

This is the Form W-2 Main Page.


You can select "Add New" to add a new W-2 OR you can select "Edit" to make any adjustments to a previously added W-2.

W-2 Income Page


Enter the Employer Identification Number (EIN). This can be found from Box B of your Form W-2.


Enter Employer Name


Enter Employer Address. If the Employer has a foreign address, then select the blue button to enter a foreign address.


Select "Save and Continue" once you are done.


Tip: To move forward to a new page, always select "Save and Continue" to ensure your entries are saved. 

Form W-2 Input Page

Enter the information from Form W-2 into the corresponding boxes on screen.


Select "Save and Continue" once you are done entering your W-2 Tax Information.

Form W-2 Errors

IF, you receive the error listed above, review your Form W-2 and ensure the amounts you entered into the boxes highlighted in red are correct and match the W-2 you received.

IF, the amounts you entered are correct according to the W-2 you received from your employer then, click inside the red highlighted boxes in which an "Ignore Error" option will appear.

Check off the Ignore Error option on each of the red highlighted boxes and select "Save and Continue" to be directed to the next page.
