For this project students will select a photograph that represents themselves. Students will also look at the artist Chuck Close for inspiration. The photograph must be originally taken by the student and be printed in black and white.  Using the grid drawing method the students will redraw their original image by making it at least 2x larger. Using a variety of pencil shading techniques the students will add value to their work. 

Chuck Close is an American artist the creates large scale realistic artworks.
