Yearbook Project

Overview:In this lesson the students will design a cover for the school’s yearbook. The yearbook must say Field Middle School . Students will look at a variety of examples before starting their design. The students will focus on being exact and neat with their weight of lines and colors. Students will first come up with a theme for yearbook. “Our roots run deep,” “building our future.” “connected.” “journey.” “finding our way.” “Dream” “looking forward/ looking back.” “This is Field Country.” Using this theme the students will design their yearbook cover. Students will be allowed to use cut paper. The cover will be 2 times larger than the actual size so that more detail can fit in.

Goals: Students will design a yearbook for the school with attention to detail and fonts that clearly displays a theme.
