Book Illustration 

Overview: In this lesson the students will create an illustration of their summer reading book. Students will create a  poster that includes at least 3 images, 5 words in a variety of fonts, and colors that help establish the mood. Students will use the post modern art principle interaction of text and images. 

Goals: For students to get a better understanding of how to correctly place images and words on a page. 

Gain a better understanding of the elements of art. 

Standards:4PE Understand how social, cultural and political factors affect what contemporary artists and designers create.

5PR Collaborate to create a thematic work that combines visual art with other arts disciplines.
