Not all colleges will require applicants to write an admissions essay. For those that do, there are avenues for students to get assistance! Students are encouraged to do the following:
Start early! Students in earlier grades should keep an updated resume throughout high school. This is a great way to log experiences over the years to reflect on later when composing an essay.
Research essay topics and practice. Save your work; it is possible that some of your practice work may be refined later for an essay you would like to submit to a college.
Have others read your work, and be open to constructive feedback.
