October is Free App Month!

Many colleges participate in Free App Month during October. Students should consult with reps from their chosen prospective colleges to find out if the college will offer a free application. Some will participate for the entire month of October, while others may only offer free apps within a specified set of days. Click HERE to view colleges in Michigan that offer free application in the fall of 2022.

Free App Month & The Common App: When a student gets to the payment page of the Common App (visa card info) they will see a prompt with the question “Do you intend to use one of the school specific fee waivers?” They must say “yes” to this question. They can then go to the next prompt and enter the free application code.
