Oregon Promise: GPA Verification & Application Process

OSAC/ASPIRE Guest Speaker Series: This session will provide an overview of The College Place, the ECMC Scholars program, College ABACUS, College Nights, and free educator resources and training curricula made available through ECMC’s partnership with the Oregon Office of Student Access & Completion.

Abril co-hosts “Financial Awareness Basics”, ECMC’s weekly podcast-style webinars that cover a variety of college finance based topics. She also develops financial literacy outreach programs and workshops for schools across the U.S. and serves as editor for ECMC’s quarterly newsletter, “FAB Gab”. Twenty years working with students and their families have helped form Abril’s practical approach to training. She is a featured speaker at Soledad O’Brien’s PowHERful™ Summits, is NASFAA credentialed, and a Certified Educator in Personal Finance®. In her spare time, she hangs with her four Catahoula Leopard Dogs, goes scuba diving, and has awfully big adventures.

OSAC staff will review eligibility criteria, deadlines, special circumstances, and a live application demo. This webinar is for new applicants, parents, teachers, counselors, advisers, and others who are supporting new Oregon Promise applicants.

Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) Demo- In English

OSAC staff will explain how to complete the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) with a live demo. The ORSAA is the State of Oregon’s alternative to the FAFSA, for undocumented Oregon students, including students who have DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) status. We will review the basics of the ORSAA, account creation, parent signature process, and more. Bring your questions! This webinar is for students, teachers, counselors, advisors, and other student support staff at high schools, community colleges, and partner organizations.
