Albert Lee Wright, Jr. Memorial Migrant Scholarship

The new 2018 Application Form, instructions, and guidelines for the Al Wright Migrant Scholarship awarded each year by NASDME are now available on the NASDME website at http://www.nasdme.org/al-wright-scholarship.

This scholarship, which awards at least $3,000 to one or more graduating migrant high school students, will be presented at the 2018 National Migrant Education Conference in Portland, Oregon this coming Spring.

Please note that the application form and accompanying supporting material must be received at NASDME's DC office BY the deadline of Friday, February 23, 2018. (Applications with the postmark of that date will not be reviewed.) The instructions for the application must be strictly followed and the 2018 application form used, not any earlier form please.

We have found that when migrant students get help and support from staff in their schools, their applications are often stronger, so we urge you to assist migrant students in the application process.
