Insurance Waivers

Please note that waivers cannot be added on or removed once the reservation is in-progress or once payments have been processed.

For example:
If a customer is in-progress and has a FCW, but wants to remove it, they must end the rental, and make a new reservation without the FCW, but we should reverify to confirm that they now have Collision.

Fetch Collision Waiver (FCW)

For renters who only have Liability Insurance, and do not have Collision Insurance, a Fetch Collision Waiver (FCW) is available to purchase on P2P vehicles only.

What is a Fetch Collision Waiver (FCW)?

Fetch Collision Waiver?: Don't have collision (physical damage) coverage with your own auto insurance? Purchase this to waive our collision coverage verification requirement for renters. Waiver includes physical damage protection.

Things to know:

• $24.99/day

• Mileage packages vary

• Only applicable to P2P vehicles covered under our Digisure Insurance (not available for partner vehicles covered under owner's commercial insurance)

• You can check "Products" on the reservation page to see if the Fetch Collision Waiver is available. The waiver should be available on all P2P vehicles. If the waiver is not available, please reach out to the Assistant Manager first. If the Assistant Manager is not available, then reach out to your Manager.

•  The renter still must have verified and active Liability insurance.

• Coverage only applies to the renter named on the Rental Agreement.

• These coverages may only be purchased before the rental starts. They CANNOT be added after the rental begins.

• Coverages purchased are final and non-refundable.

• FCWs are not available for Standard Partners (Alex Chu & Home Depot vehicles)

Offering an FCW to the Customer:

We confirmed your Liability coverage with your insurance provider. Unfortunately, to rent with Fetch you must have both Liability and Collision Insurance. In lieu of the Collision Insurance, you can purchase a Fetch Collision Waiver for this rental for $24.99/day. Please reply back to this message saying “yes” if you would like me to add this product to your rental. If you do not want the Fetch Collision Waiver, please reply saying “no” and we will cancel your reservation at no cost to you. - AGENT'S NAME from Fetch

If the customer confirms they would like to add the FCW to their rental follow these steps.

1. Navigate to the renter's reservation page

2. Under "Reservation Details" check the "Products" section

3. Select the "Fetch Collision Waiver"

4. Click 'Save'

Once the FCW is added and we have verified the driver's license information and additional verification requirements, we can approve the customer.

How Do I Know if a Vehicle is P2P?

Check the P2P status on the vehicle's page.

For renters who only have Liability Insurance, and do not have Collision Insurance, a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available to purchase on Home Depot vehicles only.

What is a CDW?

A CDW is an additional insurance coverage offering for individuals renting a vehicle who do not have Collision coverage on their insurance premium. A CDW only offers additional coverage to damage on the rented vehicle to which a CDW is applied. It does not cover any Liability-related expenses such as damage to other vehicles or injuries. Additionally, a CDW does not cover damage caused by unsafe/illegal driving or theft.

• $12.50/day

• Unlimited miles

• Coverage only applies to the renter named on the Rental Agreement.

• The renter still must have verified and active Liability insurance.

• These coverages may only be purchased before the rental starts. They CANNOT be added after the rental begins.

• Coverages purchased are final and non-refundable.

How to check if the reservation has a CDW?

1. Navigate to the renter's reservation page

2. Under "Reservation Details" check the "Products" section

3. You will see the "Collision Damage Waiver". If you do not see the waiver and you have confirmed it is a Home Depot vehicle, please contact the Assistant Manager first. If the Assistant Manager is not available, contact your Manager.
