Axle
Fetch works with Axle to instantly verify auto insurance. Axle quickly and securely shares customers' insurance information with our team of verification experts to expedite the insurance verification process. Axle will only release the data customers consent to sharing and uses bank-level encryption to secure the customer's data end-to-end. Once the customer has uploaded their account photos, Fetch's Verification Department will send them an Axle verification request. If a customer has a policy with any of the insurance providers listed above, advise them to use Axle to instantly verify their insurance. This will expedite the approval process.
How do I respond to a customer that says that they are having trouble using Axle (the link is not working, and the customer does not know their login information)?
Enter the customer's account link in the support-chatter and a Level 2 Agent will take a look. If a Level 2 Agent is available, they could possibly take the call to assist the customer or they might inform you that they will send another link to the customer.
How do I respond to a customer that says that they do not want to use Axle? (The customer might say that they do not trust Axle/does not want to submit their information with Axle)
"That's no problem! We will manually verify insurance coverage by using the proof of insurance that was submitted. Please be advised that manual insurance verification could delay the approval process due to extended hold times with your insurance company. We would advise you to send in the auto declarations page to possibly expedite the process."
What is a Declarations Page?
An auto insurance declarations page is a concise overview (document/PDF) of your policy provided by your insurance provider. It states the named insured (i.e. the main policyholder), any additional insured drivers, your policy number, coverages, and the length and effective dates of your policy term. You should be able to find that if you log into your insurance account or on your insurance provider's app.
What if the customer does not have a PDF document or the declarations page, but they have a physical paper copy of it?
That's fine. The customer can send that in, but it must have all the information listed above in the photos that they sent in.
Fetch does not approve a customer's account based on an insurance card. Insurance must be verified either with Axle, manually (verbally with the insurance provider), or possibly with a declarations page.
