Each vehicle has its own assigned tax rate based on its locations, its important to use the transaction page to quote a renter who is asking about the price of an extension so taxes and any additional mandatory products (like a CDW) are included. Follow the steps below to find out how much an extension would be.
Navigate to the customer's reservation.
Click on the "Transactions" tab.
Click on the green "Add Charge" button at the top.
4. On the "Add Charge" form, you'll want to build your charge, determine if you are quoting the renter for an hourly or daily extension and change the "Duration" section to match.
5. Always keep the "Include Additional Products" button selected so mandatory products, like CDWs or CWs are included in the price of the extension.
6. If providing a quote for mileage or gas, leave all other fields blank, and only fill in those sections with the appropriate number of miles or gallons to charge.
7. You'll see the amount at the bottom for the total including tax and any additional products, this is the amount you should quote to the customer.
Note, you should never manually calculate hourly rates, daily rates, or any other charge. Always use the "Add Charge" form to ensure the proper amount is quoted to the renter.
