STEP 1: Take out your phone - open the app store - download Google Drive - USE YOUR FCPS ACCOUNT!!!!! You will use the Google Drive app for all of your projects!
STEP 2: Go through all of the photos on your Phone, or Social Media.. Choose your favorite photograph.
STEP 3: Upload your photography to Google Drive...
Open the photograph in your photo library
Click the upload button - it is an icon of a square with an arrow pointing upward.
Click on the Google Drive app
Click upload
STEP 4: On your desktop, open your Google Drive - On the top left, click on + NEW - Folder - Title the folder Digital Photography. Drag your Google Sites Portfolio and your Favorite Photograph into this folder. This will be so helpful when looking for images, projects, etc.
STEP 5: Open your Google Sites Portfolio - Go to the HOME page - Be sure that you inserted a Divider below your Photographer Quotes. Hover over your Photographer Quotes title. You will see 3 icons that show up to the left of your screen. Click on the middle icon (duplicate section) Now you have 2 of the same titles. Hovering over second title, to the far left near the 3 icons, you will see a group of small dots. Click and drag the title below the divider. Double click on the title and change it to I AM A PHOTOGRAHER - Click here to see my example
STEP 6: Insert a the CONTENT BLOCK that has 1 image box to the left and text to the right.
Click on the + in the image box - Select Image - Recent (you should see the photo that you uploaded) If you do not, click on my drive - Digital Photography folder - your image.
Once your image is in the PhotoBox, you will need to adjust the image so the entire image is showing. Click on the image and you will see blue dots around the image. Click on the bottom blue dot and drag it downward, then if you need to, click on the right blue dot and drag it to the side - so the entire image is showing.
STEP 7: Click on the top blue text and give your image a title and write by (your name) Change the color of the text to black and change the font to be consistent throughout the page. (you can view my example below)
STEP 8: Click on the text below the title - Include information about the photography you chose.
Who - Who is in the picture - if a person is in the picture, if not, skip it.
What - What is the picture of? What did you use to take the picture? (camera/kind of or phone/kind of?)
When - When did you take the picture? Doesn't have to be specific (last week, a year ago, if you know - time of day, time of year, ect.)
Where - Where did you take the picture? ( Frederick, Orlando, Inside Taco Bell, etc. )
Why - Why did you take this picture? What about the picture makes it your favorite?
