This is a picture of a flower that was submerged in water. Then ink was dropped into the water specifically to land onto the flower.   I used a Canon M5 mirrorless camera set at a high shutter speed to freeze the image and a large aperture to allow more light into the lens and blur the background. 

I took this photograph last year during my advanced photography class as I was teaching them this process. 

This picture was taken in Mrs. Reed / Ms. Burns classroom because there is a lot of natural light that enters that room. 

I saw an image like this that was being sold at Marshalls and I thought to myself, this would be a great project to do with Advanced students.  

This image is one of my favorites because I think it turned out really well.  I love how bright the colors look on the black background.  I also like the textures in the flower petals.
