Family Resources!
Dear Exceed Families,
This school year has been quite a year! Unlike any other I have seen in all of my 16 years as an educator. It has been truly humbling to serve you and bear witness to your support and patience through so many transitions this year. Thank you all for your dedication and partnership these past 10 months. As we close out this school year, I cannot help but to reflect back on the countless families who supported us inside and outside of the classroom, collaborating with educators and Exceed team members as partners. Your presence and support made us a much stronger school community!
Because of you, we have been awarded a 5 Year Charter this school year which was our top priority for our scholars! Thank you for believing in us and supporting us along the way. This year, many of you became your child's at home teacher, although we know you have always been your child's first teacher, we truly appreciate you diving into remote learning alongside us and providing us with feedback in service of creating a quality remote learning program for our scholars. I am optimistic about next school year and I am hopeful that we will continue working together.
Before I go, I would like to wish you all a Happy Juneteenth and share a few resources with you and your family in honor of this day.

This owl wants to know: WHOOOOOO is prepared for the fall?
Well, we certainly are trying to be! Please help us by filling out this short survey (previously sent in Class Dojo on 6/18/2020). You only need to fill out one survey per family. Thank you!
Our main office will open remotely over the summer. Families may contact us at 718-989-6702 Monday- Friday between 10AM-3PM for assistance.
Be sure to active and register to your scholar's ClassDojo account. Over the summer, we will be sharing updates and changes via ClassDojo. If you need assistance on obtaining your scholar's account, contact our main office at 718-989-6702, an OPS team member will be able to assist you.
Exceed Technology
Do you currently have a tablet, Chromebook or Wifi device on loan from Exceed? Please have your scholar hold on to it as they will be able to use it throughout the summer and into the fall. The Operations team will be in contact with those families who will not be attending Exceed in the fall to share how the devices can be returned. If your scholar is attending Exceed Upper they can hold on to their devices.
Class Dojo: Homeroom teachers communicate regularly with families via Class Dojo. Posts are made daily to keep parents “in the know” regarding all school-related information. Please be certain to sign up for Class Dojo once this information is shared with you.
Coffee & Conversation: The principal invites all families to come in during Coffee & Conversation/Principal’s Breakfast days to discuss ideas relevant to the school and its scholars.
Conferences: Report card conferences will be held two times per year. In addition, families, teachers, or the principal can arrange individual conferences at any time during the school year.
OWL Post: Electronic communication shared with families weekly from Exceed’s administrative team to keep all families “in the know” regarding a variety of school related information such as important announcements, upcoming events, etc.
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO): We look forward to a very active PTO. All parents, guardians and caretakers are encouraged to participate. Contact our Family Associate, Ms. Ogle, and stay tuned to our Class Dojo posts. You can also check the family bulletin board for updates and additional information. You are encouraged to participate in your child’s learning!
