October is College Application Month!!! We encourage you to sit down and discuss how your STAR meeting went as a family and explore the college and career research tools in Naviance. An additional online college resource is College in Colorado, an online platform with tons of College Application Month resources!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens October 1! This is the FIRST STEP in applying for financial aid. We have two, day-long workshops on October 10th and 11th to support families with FAFSA completion. Our resident FAFSA expert, Erin Ulrich, will be available all day both days to provide support! Come to the Future Center for help.

The deadline to register for the Nov. 3 SAT is October 5. This is the last date that will be considered for Daniels Fund Scholarship eligibility.

Three quarters of the junior class signed up to take the optional PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday Oct. 10. We HIGHLY recommend that students log into their CollegeBoard Account to study through Kahn Academy and previous PSAT 10 results

Juniors are also welcome to attend the various college visits hosted in the Future Center regularly.

By the end of October, sophomores should have completed the first assignment of their Individual Career and Academic Plan which is completing an academic credit check and goal setting. Ask your student about his/her academic or personal SMART goal created in Seminar

Counselors will be checking in with Freshmen throughout October and November to see how the first two months of school have gone. We will be discussing graduation requirements, attendance and grades and getting to know our amazing class of 2022.
