We are all about ICAP'S at Englewood High School!

The Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) is a powerful tool to bring meaning to a student’s education. EHS students are working on their ICAPs throughout the school year in Seminar classes with activities ranging from career and interest surveys, academic planning, career and college exploration plus so much more. A student’s ICAP is stored in Family Connection through Naviance, a comprehensive website that students and families can also use to make plans about college and careers. We encourage you to sit down with your student(s) and have them log into Naviance to show you what work they have done. If you would prefer to have your own parent account please contact the counseling department.

A completed ICAP is a graduation requirement for all Englewood High School students.

ICAP Benefits for Everyone!

ICAP Benefit for Students

The ICAP gives students direction to potential college and career paths and allows them to explore those possibilities. A student’s four-year high school academic plan starts them on the path to achieving his/her goals.

ICAP Benefit for Parents

The ICAP offers parents an opportunity to further support and guide their student’s academic endeavors, college plans, and career explorations. Parents and their students can discuss, school steps to take now for future success in college and career.

ICAP Benefit for Schools

The ICAP can increase graduation rates and improve student success. Academics become more relevant when students have a college and career plan. Schools are able to connect high school success to students’ future goals.

ICAP Benefit for Communities

The ICAP will benefit the community by developing citizenship and increasing postsecondary completion. This will create a more educated workforce, thereby improving our businesses, neighborhoods, and communities.
