Cast Information Packet: INFORMATION PACKET
Auditions will be held immediately after school on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the BC Black Box.
Call backs will be September 3rd after school, and the cast list will be posted Friday, September 4th.
Audition Selections:
Select ONE of the following songs to sing for auditions. We will run through as a group before audition solos, but practicing/prior knowledge of the song you choose is super helpful! Do not worry too much about the role titles - pick the song that fits your voice best out of the options available! Singing a specific character’s song does not mean that will be the only role you are considered for. We will address other specific characters in callbacks as needed!
The dance portion of the audition will include learning and performing a short “musical theater” style dance combination. Please wear dance shoes or comfortable tennis shoes and clothing you can move in! There is no need to bring tap shoes or to buy tap shoes until tap numbers are cast after auditions. Day of auditions: Wednesday, September 2nd immediately after school in the Black Box:
Mrs. Hickman and Mr. Pronley will be the core part of the audition process and character selection.
There will only be ONE cast, no double casting.
Not everyone will be cast in a role...there will most likely be cuts.
Dance and vocals will be difficult and challenging.
When you arrive at the auditions, please see Mrs. Brunner at the check-in table in the Black Box hallway to get an assigned audition number and safety pin.
The audition will fundamentally consist of 2 sections: dance and vocal.
We anticipate the audition process will be approximately 3 hours.
Please bring water, snacks and dance shoes (or comfortable shoes).
Dance will be be first in the audition process, followed by vocal auditions. Heads up: the audition process may be recorded by the directors to help in the casting process.
ONLY directors and students auditioning will be allowed at auditions.
IF we post you for callbacks (names will be posted on social media and/or emailed), callbacks will be Thursday, Sept 4th after school and may consist of another dance portion, vocal, and possibly script readings. The final cast list will be posted on Friday, Sept 5th.
