2026 BCHS Fall Musical: Big Fish
Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton BIG FISH is a fantastical, heartwarming musical that follows the life of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman whose larger-than-life stories captivate everyone around him—especially his loving wife, Sandra. But their son, Will, about to become a father himself, is determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s epic tales. As Will embarks on a journey to understand the man behind the myth, BIG FISH explores the power of storytelling, family bonds, and the search for identity.
With its soaring score, unforgettable characters, and a blend of humor and heartfelt emotion, BIG FISH offers an extraordinary theatrical experience that celebrates the joy of life, the importance of family, and the beauty of the stories we tell.

MANDATORY STUDENT/PARENT KICK-OFF MEETING
Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
BC Cafeteria
The student and at least one parent must attend this kick-off meeting. Meet the directors, learn very important information, purchase a yard sign, and have an opportunity to ask questions! You are welcome to arrive at 6:15 p.m. to visit the check-in stations early, the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 2: Auditions in BC Black Box after school
Thursday, September 3: Call-backs if needed in BC Black Box after school
Friday, September 4: Cast list posted online and emailed
Tuesday, September 8: Cast Rehearsals, Crew and Costume Team begin
Tuesday, September 8: Student/Parent Mandatory Information Meeting, BC Cafeteria, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Friday, September 11: Tickets on sale to families of cast, crew, & pit
Friday, September 18: Tickets on sale to the public at Sharon Lynne Wilson Center
Wednesday, October 30: Headshots after school -- wear/bring a nice, plain white shirt
TECH WEEK SCHEDULE (Call times to be determined):
Saturday, November 14: Tech week starts at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center (Run Crew/pit this day)
Sunday, November 15: First rehearsal with crew, cast, and pit at Wilson Center
Wednesday, November 18: WHMS preview night at 6:00 pm
Thursday, November 19: Dress Rehearsal at 7:00pm
Friday, November 20: Performance at 7:00pm
Saturday, November 21: Performances at 2:00pm and 7:00pm
Sunday, November 22: Performance at 2:00pm and STRIKE
Monday, November 23: Load everything back in at BCHS, after school until completed (ALL CAST & CREW)

Tickets for Performances
Tickets go on sale to the general public on September 18th. The Wilson Center is using digital ticketing. There are no savings to purchasing tickets in person -- it is the same fees whether purchased online or in person. There are additional fees to receive paper tickets.
