Applause

Booster Club for the Fine Arts

Applause is a parent-led organization that builds and maintains a vibrant fine arts community at Brookfield Central through the gifts of money, time and awareness. We are active volunteers for BC Bands, Orchestras, Choirs, Musical & Dramatic Theater, and the Visual Arts supporting teachers and students as they deliver high-quality productions and events for the community. Each year, we fund senior student scholarships and issue teacher grants to further student performance and learning objectives inside and outside of the classroom.

Funds raised through Applause help enhance all fine arts programming offered at BCHS. To date, we have granted more than $110,000 in senior scholarships, items and equipment.

Memberships start at $45 per family. There are a number of membership levels to choose from (see below). There are two ways to sign up for membership:

WHITE – $45

-Senior Scholarship Eligibility

-Early Access to tickets to the BCHS Musical.

BLUE – $75

-White level gifts, PLUS

-One (1) Voucher to your choice of BCHS Black Box 2025-2026 shows.

SILVER – $110

-Blue level gifts, PLUS

-One (1) additional BCHS Black Box Voucher.

BLACK – $200+

-Silver level gifts, PLUS

-Two (2) additional BCHS Black Box Vouchers.

-Reserved seating at Winter Choir, Orchestra or Band concert.

We partner with the Marcus Center every year. It's a win-win for all. You get to see some great theater at a discounted ticket price, and Applause gets a percentage of each ticket purchase back to support our fine arts programming.

Thanks to your support, in 2025-2026, Applause funded several impactful grants – including three overhead microphones, a piano keyboard, and dress forms for the Arts Department – all of which had were put to immediate use not only in the classroom, but also supporting events like Choirpalooza and the Solo & Ensemble competition which was held at Brookfield Central.

Applause Senior Scholarship Information

Applause is proud to recognize young artists for their “right brain” pursuits during their high school careers. Applause awards scholarships to Senior Applause members who best exemplify effort, dedication, commitment, and spirit regardless of the level of success they have achieved on the stage, in the gallery, or in another capacity.

Applause has awarded over $24,000 in scholarships since it's inception in 2018.

Applause scholarship eligibility:

Three years of family membership in Applause
Currently a senior who has participated in any BC Fine Arts programming for a minimum of two years.
Plans to attend a college, university or trade school following graduation
No school suspensions or code violations

*There is NO minimum GPA requirement
