FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)
is a program designed to create the next generation of STEM professionals by teaching both the hard and soft skills needed to succeed.
FIRST has three different leagues of competition.
FIRST LEGO League (Pre-K through 8th grade)
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) (grades 7-12)
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
What's happening in Elmbrook Schools Robotics?
Superstellar 19417
In 2021-2022, the all-girls rookie team, Superstellar, won the Connect Award and were 3rd place in the Control award, sponsored by Arm, Inc.
FTC Hazmat 13201
won the Motivate Finalist Award and were 26th overall in the robot game in Houston April 20-23, 2022
GEarheads 16460
In the 2022-2023 season at state, they were the winning alliance captain, qualifying for their first World competition as an FTC team, in Houston Texas.
BEAST Robotics 2202
won the 2023 St. Louis Regional FIRST Impact Award, the most prestigious award at FIRST. It "honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST."

FTC 21180 Error 418 finished the 2022-2023 season strong at the Wisconsin Championship: Captain Finalist Alliance, 2nd Place Control Award sponsored by Arm, Inc.
Advocates for stem!
In February 2023, BEAST FRC and other FTC teams - Rhinobots 16310, Hazmat 13201, and Superstellar 19417 - traveled to Madison. They met with legislators at the Capitol advocating for increased DPI funding for STEM education!

In March 2023, the Rhinobots finished their season strong by winning 1st place control arm award and was the 2nd pick team for the winning alliance.
Superstellar x mke tool
Team Superstellar got a tour of the Milwaukee Tool facilities in January 2023. They learned about real life application of robotics skills, as well as future opportunities in the STEM field!
