MORE ABOUT THE BC CHEER TEAM
WHO?
The Brookfield Central Cheer Team will be made up of an auditioned group of kind, respectful, hardworking individuals whose goal is to boost school spirit with their proud presence at various school sporting events and community events!
WHAT?
Our cheerleaders have many responsibilities when representing our school. While attending football and basketball games, we greet fans as they enter the premises, perform sideline cheers/stunts, and perform choreographed routines during halftime. These routines include dancing, stunting, tumbling, and cheer jumps. NEW this year, we will return to competitive cheerleading as well!
WHERE?
We will always practice somewhere at the Brookfield Central High School, whether it may be in the cafeteria, wrestling balcony, gym, or outside. During the summer we will prioritize practice outside to feel comfortable on the sidelines when football season starts in August.
WHEN?
It is important that you are able to attend most/all of scheduled practices during football and basketball season and communicate well with your coaches if you must miss. When choreographing routines, it’s imperative to have the correct number of participants in order to plan group stunts and choreography accordingly. Cheerleading is a team sport!
On average, we attended 10 basketball home games last season, not including playoffs and state games. We will be present at all football games this upcoming season. These usually take place on Friday nights. Attending football games and basketball games will be based on availability.
