Booster Club for the Fine Arts

Applause is a parent-run, nonprofit organization that supports the fine arts at Brookfield Central High School, including Band, Choir, Orchestra, Dramatic Theater, Musical Theater and Visual Arts.

Funds raised through Applause help enhance all fine arts programming offered at BCHS. To date, we have granted more than $92,000 in senior scholarships, items and equipment.

SUMMER REMINDERS

  • Become a member of Applause during online registration. You can find us in the School Store on Infinite Campus. Memberships start at $40 per family.

  • Connect on social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) @bchsapplause for updates throughout the school year.

  • Calendar our meeting dates. Everyone is welcome! Fall semester Applause meetings are 6:30-8 p.m. on the following dates in the LAUNCH space at BC: 9/13, 10/11, 12/13, 1/10.

  • Get involved. You can help support Applause by volunteering at our events, becoming a corporate sponsor and participating in fundraisers. Every hour helps, and every dollar counts.

Memberships start at $40 per family. There are a number of membership levels to choose from.


TWO EASY WAYS TO JOIN:

  1. Current BCHS families can join Applause during online registration. Sign up through the School Store on Infinite Campus.
    OR

  2. Fill out our online form.
    Then, pay via
    Venmo (@bchsapplause) or write a check made payable to Applause, Inc. and drop it off in the school office or mail it to BC at 16900 West Gebhardt Road, Brookfield, WI 53005

We have many opportunities for you to get involved: attend a meeting, join the board, join a committee, be a parent liaison, or volunteer at events.

scholarship information

Congratulations to our 2022 Applause Scholarship winners: Amelia Hayward, Reid Miner, Ainsley Taipala and Spencer Thomas.

Applause is proud to recognize BCHS seniors for their artistic pursuits. Each year, Applause awards multiple scholarships to fine arts students who give their best efforts, help others, and encourage fellow students to excel.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS*

  • Membership in Applause all four years of high school

  • Be a senior who has participated in Band, Choir, Orchestra, Visual Arts, Creative Media, Dramatic Theater, or Musical Theater at BCHS for at least two years

  • Plan to attend college, university, or trade school following graduation

  • Have no suspensions or code violations

*There is no minimum GPA requirement.

Applications will be available in early March 2023. Watch for information in the school announcements and on Applause social media. Eligible students will also receive information via email.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. in the BC LAUNCH space. Everyone is welcome to attend. Dates are 9/13, 10/11, 12/13, 1/10, 2/7 (first Tuesday), 3/14, 4/11, 5/9.
