OUR ENSEMBLES
BAND
There are three concert wind bands at BC.
Wind Ensemble is the most advanced, auditioned group at BC.
Symphonic Band is the intermediate ensemble at BC.
Concert Band is the entry level group at BC and is open to anyone.
JAZZ ENSEMBLE
There are two jazz bands at BC.
Jazz Ensemble 1 is an auditioned group that uses standard jazz instrumentation.
Jazz Ensemble 2 is open to anyone in the band program.
Do you play piano or guitar? Consider joining jazz. We meet during Lancer block, before school, and evenings.
MARCHING BAND
The Brookfield Central High School Marching Band is a non-competitive ensemble.
All BC students in band are in marching band. We meet for a summer marching band camp in August and one evening a week throughout the fall.
We perform pregame and halftime at home football games and march in two parades a year.
Interested in joining Color Guard? Open to all! Contact the director for more info!
PARENTS
To keep our band program strong, we need as much parent help as possible. We rely on fantastic parent support each and every year. The following are a few areas in which we can always use help with: Uniforms, Concessions (home football games), Fall Fundraisers, Chili Feed (Homecoming Game), our Bebop event in June, and Band Banquet. All band parents are automatically members of our parent group "Friends of Band" which supports some of our biggest events throughout the school year.
Please email the director for more information on the organizations that help the band!
