LOFT Boards
How-Tos
Tips and Tricks
Any device that is connecting to a LOFT Board must be on the same network as the LOFT Board (SturgeonSEC).
The front USB Ports can be used to display files from flash drives and can run USB document cameras through Visualizer.
To zoom in or out, select image or page, place two hands on the screen and pull them apart to make the image or page larger.
From All Apps, tap and drag a favorite app to the homescreen to create a shortcut. To remove the shortcut, hold the app on the homescreen and tap "Remove".
In multi-window mode (found in Settings), windows can be moved to take up all, half or a quarter of the screen. When the windows are dragged around the screen, a blue outline will appear and the window will snap into that place.
To change the home screen wallpaper, press and hold a finger on the board and choose "Select Backgrounds".
In the Note app, tap menu and choose "Background" to select a new color, texture or custom image that suits your intended purpose. Choose "Customize Toolbar" to add or remove tools from the bottom toolbar to suit your needs. Tap "Share" to create a QR code that will share what is currently on the screen with others.
Use the pen instead of a finger for writing, as the pen is more accurate. To erase, click on the eraser first, then press your hand on the screen and an eraser appears. You can also use your fist to erase smaller portions of the screen.
Finder shows you where all your files as saved. You can upload files to the Android operating system using a flash drive or by signing into a cloud drive. To prevent others from accessing your files, always remember to sign out when finished. To clear your file history, select the person icon in Finder the choose "Clear All History".
When the machine is powered off for an extended period of time, such as two weeks or longer, unplug the display to prevent any possible dangers caused by power supply ripple.
Cleaning
To clean the LOFT Boards, spray any mild cleaning solution onto a microfibre cloth then wipe down the screen.
DO NOT spray the cleaning solution directly on the screen as the liquid can drip down and potentially find a crack in the frame and destroy the screen's internal mechanisms.
