If students bring mobile phones or other handheld communication devices to school, they must be switched off at all times during lessons. They must under no circumstances be brought to exam rooms .
“Wearable technology” (e.g. smart-watches/pens, Google glass) should not be brought to school.
Mobile phones may be of use to students (communicating with parents about travel arrangement for example), but they can also be a real nuisance within the School itself. So if a student needs to bring a mobile phone to School:
it should not be used at inappropriate times during the day – e.g. during lessons!
it is liable to get lost or damaged, so don’t bring an expensive one
it should not be seen purely as a fashion item
it must not be used for inappropriate purposes – phoning someone in the next-door room for a chat is not proper use.
it is expressly forbidden to take photos or videos of someone on a camera-phone (or any other device) without their knowledge and permission. The school will take a serious view of any breaches.
