The school has a Cafeteria which can be used by students before school, at lunchtime, at morning break and at other times when they do not have scheduled classes. Details of the abonnement system for lunches can be obtained from the Campus Services Office. Some students prefer to bring a picnic lunch.
The Cafeteria is open at most times of the day between 07h30 until 16h45. Parents are also welcome to use its services.
There is no formal system of timings at lunchtime - if the queue is long, you will not get your lunch any more quickly by joining it: it is best to go away, do something else for a few minutes and come back - but older students are asked to delay their arrival in the queue until the younger ones have been served.
Please play your part in helping us to keep the Cafeteria a clean and pleasant place in which to eat.
You may sit wherever you wish, except at any table designated for staff, unless by invitation. Please do not sit on the tables – other people have to eat off them – or put your feet on the chairs – other people have to sit on them.
Use a tray to carry your lunch or snack and sit properly at a table.
No cafeteria crockery, cutlery or trays are to be taken out of the Cafeteria except onto the terrace outside the Cafeteria (not onto the terrace above it) on condition that you clear everything from the tables in the normal way when you have finished.
Sandwiches, croissants, etc, may be taken out of the Cafeteria.
No hot food or food served in barquettes or bowls or on plates of any kind may be taken out of the Cafeteria – eat them inside at the tables. This specifically includes pizzas, paninis, pasta, salads, hot dogs, kebabs and chips.
When you have finished eating, take your tray, crockery and cutlery to the clearing table provided, put the chair in the proper position and make sure the table is clear.
if you spill food or drink, clean it up straight away.
Ensure that you drop or leave behind no litter of any kind. Clear up after yourself and encourage others to do the same.
Avoid bringing unnecessary bags and other bulky items into the Cafeteria.
At busy times, be willing to vacate your chair when you have finished eating so that others can have somewhere to eat.
Queue sensibly and avoid pushing, shouting and running around.
Under no circumstances is it acceptable to throw food or other items.
Cooperate fully with the catering staff and the Student Support Supervisors at all times.
Students who do not live up to these expectations may be refused entry to the Cafeteria.
