The first lesson starts at 08h15, by which time you will need to be in class, ready to be registered by the teacher of your first lesson and to start the day. An attendance register is taken at the start of each lesson during the day.
Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, although in some subjects you may have double lessons. The campus is a large one, so you will need to move quickly between lessons.
There is a morning break of 25 minutes between lessons 3 and 4, during which students often go to the Cafeteria or to the Recreation Area next to it. Lunch times vary depending on your Year.
Lessons normally end for Years 09 and 10 at 15h00 or 15h40 at the latest.
Lessons normally end for Year 11 at 15h40 at the latest, depending on their individual timetables.
Lessons normally end for Years 12 and 13 at 16h25 at the latest, depending on their individual timetables

Years 9 and 10 are required to be on-campus throughout the school day from 08h10 until 15h30 unless special permission has been granted by the School. Parents who wish their children go home for lunch are asked to write a note to the Year Head. In such cases, students are expected to go directly home and not loiter around Grange-Canal. Permission to go home does not apply at school exam time.
It is important to note that students who have parental permission to leave campus are the legal responsibility of their parents.
Years 11-13 may be off-campus when they do not have lessons, providing that they have their parents’ permission to do so and that they sign in and out at all times. Students who show themselves not to be responsible (e.g. by late arrival to class, misuse of private study time, not signing in or out) may lose this privilege.
A student who wishes to leave school during the course of the school day for unforeseen reasons, e.g. illness, must first go to the Principal's Secretary.
The School cannot be responsible for students before or after their School day or who leave the campus without permission. This may be particularly relevant in the case of students who do not return home after school because they wish to attend an after-school or evening event. This is not a question of the School shirking responsibilities, but simply realism.
