Attendance

Not only is regular attendance an absolute necessity for optimum progress in school, but we are required by Swiss Law to confirm that all students attending this school do so on a regular basis. Regular attendance is therefore taken very seriously so that the successful academic development of a student is safeguarded. This includes attendance at class right up to and including the last day of each term.

In cases of foreseeable absence (e.g. a doctor’s appointment) the School Office should be contacted as far in advance as possible.

In cases of unforeseeable absence (e.g. illness) the School Office should be notified by parents by an email before 08h30 on each day of the absence. Please send an email to absences.sec.lgb@ecolint.ch

Any student having to leave school during the day for a legitimate reason must sign out at Reception. The student should sign in again when returning to classes.

SCHOOL CALENDAR 2020-2021

Term dates are published well in advance and parents are particularly requested to observe them scrupulously and not to request extra holidays in term time or to remove their children for other reasons. Only the School can authorise such absences, and can give the necessary permission only in the most exceptional of circumstances.
