BEATRICE ECKLER RASK

BEATRICE ECKLER RASK (1909-1964) began teaching in the elementary schools at Delanson, N. Y. in 1931 and was appointed the first Elementary School principal in 1947. After her death, the Beta Eckler Memorial Scholarship Fund was created with a capital of $4000; interest from the fund goes to a student studying to be a teacher. The Rask Memorial Garden once stood in the middle of the Elementary School parking lot.
