MILDRED SCHWORM

In 1960, Milly started clerking at the Duanesburg Post Office. In 1970, she was promoted to Postmaster when the previous postmaster retired. She was the Postmaster for 18 years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed the U.S. Postal Service and all of the people who came into the post office. In fact, she was fond of saying that she used to know everyone in Duanesburg and where they lived!

Before and after retirement, Milly and Harold visited all 50 states, an accomplishment she was very proud of, including a road trip to Alaska and back in their camper.
