Physical Education

Physical Education is an important part of your child's education. So that children may benefit from this program:

l. Students need to wear proper gym sneakers with good arch support and good traction on the soles, and appropriate clothing for physical activity on the scheduled Physical Education day. A sweatshirt or jacket will be important for cool days.

2. No scuff making dark-soled sneakers will be allowed. Moc style shoes and heavy dark soled hiking outdoor style sneakers will not be allowed. The gym floor has been newly re-surfaced so we need to strictly enforce these restrictions to protect the surface.

3. Flip-flops, crocs, and sandals are not to be worn for Physical Education class.

4. Avoid jewelry, watches or other items, which could be dangerous, easily lost or broken.

5. Send a note on a day when you do not want your child to participate in a class because of health considerations. A doctor's excuse is required for two or more consecutive absences. If a child is excused from Physical Education, there will be limited activity during recess to avoid the chance for further injury.
