Hello! My name is Mrs. Knight, and I am excited to be your chorus teacher at Githens! Singing with others improves mental health, encourages teamwork skills, and builds an appreciation for creative things. I look forward to each school year and us making music together!

I grew up on a piano bench in countless choir rehearsals next to my accompanist mother. Once I was old enough, I sang in choirs at church and in the community. When in college, I was selected for the prestigious Samford University Acapella Choir in which I was able to sing in cathedrals throughout Germany as well as the United States. I did not grow up with access to chorus in my own school district, therefore feel incredibly honored to have the privilege to offer you what I did not have at such a young age.

When I am not singing, I am running a photography business, walking the dogs with my husband, and following my kids around from theater rehearsals and performances to basketball games and training.
