Wildlife Research Technician - David Hoffman
David obtained a BS degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University in 1992 and has been employed by the IA DNR for 31 years. He has conducted research on mallards, lesser scaup, deer, pheasants, bobcats, otters, gray fox, water quality issues and blanding’s turtles. He has also coordinated the Trumpeter Swan restoration program. He is passionate about education and outreach and has conducted over one hundred school programs. He enjoys working with students and teachers and strives to engage, connect, empower and ultimately instill an ownership in science and nature.
