I visited St. Joseph's Institution, and I remembered the student buddy called Elijah. He was taking history, physics ,and chemistry for his studies. Therefore, I joined the lessons which were Maths and Chemistry. The core lessons my buddy was taking were Maths and English. There was also another elective of an additional language such as Chinese. My buddy chose Chinese of course. In addition, we walked around the school and there were paintings drawn by the students everywhere.
In the afternoon, we joined Kamal Art Batik workshop. It was great fun, and I am interested in this traditional artwork!
This is the last day we could visit St. Joseph’s Institution. My learning buddy Elijah bought two badges and two keychains for us and he is very kind.
Then, we left the school to visit Singapore Flyer which has the height of 164 metres. The landscape on top was eye catching since we were in extremely high place, and we could watch the whole Gardens By the Bay. We not only saw that view but also watched water and laser show. I was amazed by this because it was amazing and I was surprised.
We went St. Patrick's School today and played some games. My buddies were very hospitable. We had conversations together. Also, Brother Collin is very kind that he cooked rice to us. In addition, we went to the Chinatown and the Little India to buy souvenirs. Moreover, we went to the Merlion Park and Gardens by the Bay to take beautiful pictures.
Today, we went to the Universal Studios Singapore from Sentosa. There were various themes in this theme park such as Minions, The Lost World and so on. It was extremely fun since I played the thrilling rides like roller coaster. Obviously they were amazing.
In these five days, I gained a lot of knowledge and learnt lots of Singaporean cultures. For example, the word "Sentosa" means “peace and tranquility”. In addition, Singaporean citizens are eligible for many benefits such as renting public housing apartments. They are not expensive, which is a low burden for them. Furthermore, I learned some Malay like "Terima kasih". It means "Thank you". And "sama sama" means you're welcome, and so forth.
