School Transport
Walking:
Many of our students walk to school. Being aware of road safety is key.
Remember:
Your child should always choose the safest place to cross the road.
Whenever possible, they should cross at a pedestrian crossing or traffic signal.
By car:
Parents and carers should not drop off their children in the school grounds or along Taylor Drive as this can delay buses and other drivers as well as posing a potential safety hazard. Please use the Willowburn and Homebase car parks instead.
By Bus:
Many of our students travel to school by bus. For most of these students the bus will drop-off and pick-up the students in a designated spot in the school parking area. A smaller number of students travel by public bus services and will be dropped off at the bus stop on Willowburn Avenue. They will then complete their journey with short walk along Taylor Drive.
Terms and conditions of travel:
You are respectfully reminded that when you apply to use the service you undertake to accept the terms and conditions of travel. Parents and carers need to be aware that if their child causes any damage or does not meet the expected standards of behaviour on the bus they could:
Have their pass withdrawn
Be banned from the bus
Be prosecuted by the police
Be required to pay for any damage they have caused.
