Project Overview
Truesdell Elementary School received a partial (“Phase 1”) modernization in the early 2000s; DCPS is returning to the campus to complete the modernization. DCPS intends to build a school to serve 657 students in a traditional elementary school setting. Truesdell ES will also receive funding to be used to construct space for a Child Development Center that will serve 16 infants and 24 toddlers as well as expand DCPS Pre-Kindergarten seats.
The anticipated program needs a total of approximately 105,000 square feet. DCPS intends to renovate all of the existing facility and create an addition to serve the future needs of Truesdell E.S.
