Facility Condition Assessments

DCPS is working with the Department of General Services and the Deputy Mayor for Education to conduct facility condition assessments (FCAs) on all active DCPS schools.

The aim of the assessments is to quantify the physical condition of DCPS buildings in order to guide stabilization efforts and prioritize schools for upcoming modernization. The facility condition index (FCI), a product of the report, is used a key factor in the PACE prioritization model that DCPS uses to rank schools for modernization.
