The Colloquium was inaugurated by Dr Shivani Soni's lecture with the title “Role of Erythroblast Macrophage Protein in Macrophage Development and  Function” on 26 July 2019 in Swami Vivekananda Hall, Deshbandhu College. Dr Soni is a alumnus of the Department. The lecture was organized under the aegis of DBT Star College Scheme and IQAC and was well attended by more than 200 participants including students and faculty members.

Dr Kamal K. Gupta, delivered the second lecture of the Colloquium series on 2 August 2019. The title of his talk was "Career Opportunities for Undergraduate Students". The lecture was held in Zoology Lecture Theater and attended by all students and faculty members of the Department. The lecture turned out to be very exciting and useful for the students to chart their careers.

Mr Akshay Dwivedi delivered the next lecture of the weekly Colloquium Series on 9 August 2019. The topic of his talk was "Techniques to Study Avian Diversity". Mr Dwivedi is also a alumnus of the Department and a wild life enthusiast 

The fourth talk was delivered by Mr Kunal Balhara on August 23, 2019. He is a Alumni of Batch 2017-2020 year and was working with an NGO. The title of his topic was "Life skills, Leadership and Caring for others...”.

Dr Varsha Baweja, delivered the next Colloquium lecture titled "Insect Biodiversity" on August 30, 2019, in Zoological Lecture Theater. The lecture took all the participants to the amazing world of the insects.

Dr Gajendra Singh delivered the sixth lecture of Colloquium series on September 6, 2019 in Zoology Lecture Theater. The title of his talk was "Effect of Vit. D Deficiency on Obesity and Hypertension of 6-18 years Old Children of High Altitude Region".

The Colloquium talk was delivered by Ms Kalyani Seth titled “Special Needs Inclusion and Childhood Disorder". The talk was held on September 20, 2019 in ZLT of the Department. The talk focused on the sensitive issue of social acceptance and proper upbringing of children with special needs. 

Mr A K Sirohi delivered a heart warming lecture "The Art of Knowing Self: A Journey to Excellence" on September 27, 2019 in Vivekanand auditorium with more than 200 participants. The  was organized under the aegis of DBT Star College Scheme and IQAC

The lecture titled “Life is a Game, Play it,” was organized by the Educational Wing of Sri Satya Sai Seva Organization (SSSSO) and delivered by Mr. Kapil Jawa, Vice President at Genpact, and Ms. Bharti Dudeja. The talk was held on November 1, 2019 in ZLT

A gripping Colloquium lecture was delivered by Dr Varsha Baweja titled “Biopesticides: A potent tool of Green Technology for Mitigation of Pesticide Pollution”. The talk focused on importance of entomopathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and nematode as ecofriendly biocontrol agents. The talk was held on January 10, 2020 in ZLT and was well attended by teachers and students of Zoology and other Departments.

Prof Rima delivered the Colloquium lecture titled “Impact of Yoga on Complex Diseases”. The lecture was held on 17th January, 2020, at 12.30pm in ZLT. The lecture focused on practicing Yoga in daily routine and resulting benefits which includes only alleviation of symptoms but also helpful in curing of some complex life style diseases.

Dr Raja delivered the lecture titled "From Crest to Color: On a Quest to Differ- Epigenetics in Cell Fate Specification" on February 7, 2020 in the ZLT. Dr Raja is also a Alumnus of the Department. He spoke about the importance of melanocytes (the cells producing the pigment melanin) and their development from neural crest cells- a type of totipotent cells.
