Study the following idioms and academic terms. You will be tested on them this Friday.

 Idioms Words of the Week -

All bark and no bite  - Full of big talk but little action

Anything but - Not at all

Bad egg - A person who causes trouble or is dishonest


Academic Vocabulary Words of the Week -

evidence – knowledge on which to base a belief 

illustrations – visual material used to clarify or add to a text

analyze – critically examine each of the facts


Review last week's test.

Review sentence types, and the proper use of commas; see Comma Rules in Google Classroom - you will be quizzed and tested regularly.

Turn in completed Weekly Idiom and Vocabulary Outline sheet

Continue yesterday's assignment, independently  read to chapter 6 and take the chapter 5 and 6 quiz.  Do the same with chapter 7-8, 9-10.
