WITHIN
Magazine
For our final group project, I teamed up with fellow classmates to create a magazine on the topic of our choosing. With our selection of sports, we began the writing and design process. Each story and graphic was created by the team and thoughtfully deliberated. Although I did not design the cover, it shows where we began with the initial idea. The block text alongside parallelograms was one of the first steps we took in designing the entire magazine. This led to a focus on a geometric and simple design, highlighting real photos of athletes in action. Aside from the cover page, I created each page shown above. The page featuring products should say "On The Go: Training Arsenal", however the text was too dark for the background color. There are plenty of ways to improve my pages, but I am happy with them overall. Being able to utilize Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign all in one project was such a sweet way to end the class. After months of learning each program, I am excited that I have gathered enough of an understanding to use them all to create one cohesive product.

Jessica Hische
While this project was meant to be created using InDesign, I was unfortunately at home and without access. Instead, I used Google Slides to put it all together. This project gave me the opportunity to explore a designer I would have never had the idea to research otherwise. Hische's story is exceptionally inspiring and I am grateful to have looked further into the details. I don't find myself using a color palette with pink included in the mix, but I took this project as a time for trying something new. This project is a great example of learning while having fun and taking chances.
