Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
As I write this, the Louisville Weekend to Remember ended just hours ago and what an encouraging display of a covenant marriage we got to see. Ray and Robyn, one of our long standing speaker couples (30 years!) were able to speak for the first time in two and a half years. They were actually speaking for FamilyLife in the spring of 2023 when Robyn had a stroke and has since had several more. This has had them on a long, unexpected journey and even wondering if they would ever be able to speak again for FamilyLife.
This weekend Ray was able to use their story as a living example of what it is to have a covenant marriage. At the end of a session, he had Robyn join him on stage and it was a holy moment. He shared several times that he had told her that he thought their Weekend to Remember speaking days had ended because the strokes had taken away her public speaking ability and he didn’t want to do it without her. However, Robyn told him that “this is marriage too”. We are so glad Ray was willing to share their story and it had a powerful impact on all who attended.
The following are comments from those personally impacted by Ray and Robyn’s testimony and our other speaker couple, Brian and Jen, in Louisville.
A very good resource for us as a young married couple that didn’t have any examples of Godly relationships and marriages growing up. We have been relying on what we know we “didn’t want” and this has empowered us with tools resources to go further in our ministry as God’s children in covenant. Wife, married. 2 years
I learned a lot about marriage I was completely ignorant to. This was surprising to me having grown up a pastors son and a fair knowledge of the Bible and biblical principles. Husband, married 4 years
This has helped strengthen our marriage. It as given us guidance on how to grow and move forward in our marriage and how we raise our children with God first in all we do. I am excited to see how we can use these tools to grow deeper in our relationship with each other and the Lord. Wife, married 15 years
We are so thankful for the continued opportunity to play a part in what God does, over and over in ballrooms across the country. We could not do this without each of you, your prayers and financial support. May God bless each of you and your families.
Pray for us as we are in our busy season of work travel, ministry and caring for family.
